Uppsala: Introductory Seminar for new employees

Are you a newly hired postdoc, doctoral student, researcher or university teacher? The Swedish Association for University Teachers and Researchers at Uppsala University (SULF/Uppsala) invites you to an introductory seminar on rights and regulations related to your employment.

The seminar will cover the following topics

•                    Introduction to SULF/Uppsala

•                    Collective bargaining rights, local and central collective bargaining agreement

•                    Difference between scholarships and employment (for postdocs)

•                    Rules and regulations related to permanent positions

•                    Rules and regulations related to prolongation (for doctoral students)

•                    Unemployment insurance from a-kassa and from the union

•                    Residence permits (for employees from outside the EU)

Our main speaker is Robert Andersson (chief negotiator and representative at SULF’s central office).
