Working in the state sector

Being employed at a state educational institution means that you are employed by government or state agency. You and your employment are therefore subject to both labour law and administrative law. Your employment is also governed by ordinance and collective agreements. Your rights and benefits as an employee can often be found in the collective agreements for the state sector. As a government employee, you enjoy freedom of speech and freedom to provide information. You are also expected to support and apply the fundamental values of the state (in Swedish).
