Your insurance policies will soon be transferred to Trygg-Hansa
Following a new procurement process that attracted bids from several suppliers, SULF has selected Trygg-Hansa as our partner for all member insurances. Trygg-Hansa offered the solution that best meets our requirements. On 1 January 2027, all your member insurance policies will be transferred from Folksam to Trygg-Hansa. Easier for you
Bringing all our member insurance policies under a single insurer makes things easier for you. We will now have our own dedicated customer service team of experienced advisers who have specialist knowledge of your member insurances. They can help you to choose policies and cover that match your needs, and you will not need to contact several insurers as you did before.
Insurance policies that will be transferred to Trygg-Hansa:
- SULF income protection insurance and members’ health insurance – these are included in your membership automatically at no extra cost. You will retain your qualifying period for income protection insurance following the transfer.
- Other insurance policies you have taken out yourself through your membership, such as life, accident and private medical insurance, as well as supplements to your income protection insurance.
You do not need to do anything today
This autumn, you will receive a letter from Trygg-Hansa with more details about the change. In the meantime. You are welcome to contact Trygg-Hansa’s customer service team on 0771-111 667 if you have any questions or concerns.

Your income protection insurance will be transferred to Trygg-Hansa on 1 January 2027. You will retain your qualifying period. If you are or become unemployed before 1 January 2027, your claim and your benefits will continue to be handled by Folksam.

Yes, all the insurance policies you hold through your membership of SULF will be transferred to Trygg-Hansa. If you have other insurance policies with Folksam, such as home or car insurance, these will not be transferred.
The following special offers on insurance are available to members of SULF:
New SULF members
If you become a member on or after 1 October 2026, you will receive a welcome pack with six insurance policies free of charge for three months. These policies provide help you if you fall ill, have an accident or need urgent medical treatment.

- Life insurance
- Accident insurance
- Health insurance with monthly compensation
- Disability lump-sum insurance
- Critical illness insurance
- Medical care insurance following referral
Would you like to remain insured when the free period ends?
You can easily keep your insurance cover by paying the amount quoted in the offer you receive from Trygg-Hansa when the free period is due to expire.
If you do not wish to keep the insurance cover, you do not need to do anything. The policies will be cancelled automatically at the end of your free period.

Your member discounts
Trygg-Hansa offers a 10% discount on home, car and boat insurance for members of SULF. They also offer multi-policy discounts if you have several insurances with Trygg-Hansa.
Would you like to take out new insurance cover?
SULF members can take out new member insurance policies with Folksam until 30 November. From 1 December, all new member insurance cover is provided by Trygg-Hansa. All SULF member insurances provided by Folksam will be transferred to Trygg-Hansa on 1 January 2027.
