New unemployment insurance fee from October
On 1 October, the contribution to the unemployment insurance fund will be increased to SEK 140 per month. Conditions in the unemployment insurance have been improved, which means that many people receive more in compensation. During spring 2020, the government raised the ceiling for the highest daily allowance from SEK 910 to SEK 1 200 to mitigate the economic consequences of the corona pandemic for individuals and society. This means that the unemployment insurance funds need to pay more money to the state in order to finance the benefit.
Important about SULF income insurance
Please note that you must be a member of both SULF and Akademikernas a-kassa (or another Swedish unemployment insurance fund) to be able to claim the SULF income insurance.
