SULF stands with Ukraine!

The crisis that is now devastating the whole of Ukraine is also devastating Ukraine’s entire education system. Teachers from preschool to university level, as well as researchers, are being affected. Female teachers are being allowed to flee, while their male colleagues are being forced to participate actively in the war. In addition to the human suffering that the whole of Ukraine is having to endure, all forms of education and research are key components of a free democracy. SULF has therefore chosen to initiate a fund-raiser for Ukrainian teachers’ organisations.

Science for Ukraine is a volunteer organisation that provides information about opportunities for researchers fleeing Ukraine. They are now looking for people who can set up a support programme at their department or institution, even if it’s just for a short period. There are many ways in which you could help, and even the smallest amount of support can make a difference.
