Transition agreement

The transition agreement applies to members who work for a municipality or region and wish to improve their position in the labour market. The KOM-KR transition agreement came into force on 1 October 2022 and applies to all members of AkademikerAlliansen trade unions, (including SULF), in the municipal and regional sector.

The agreement comprises three parts:

  1. Opportunities to choose your own skills development measures while employed in order to improve your attractiveness in the labour market.
  1. Resources for employers, in collaboration with the trade unions, to invest in preventive measures that support both the employer's skills supply needs and the employee's position in the labour market.
  1. Support for employees who are made redundant or leave the employer by agreement due to lack of work or ill health.

Within the framework of the transition agreement, there are also opportunities for support for early transition.
