Working as a postdoc - a survey
With the aim of conducting a similar enquiry into the conditions experienced by postdocs at Uppsala University (UU), the working group on Competences and Careers of SULF at Uppsala University designed and circulated a survey at the end of 2023. With it, we wished to get an overview of conditions experienced by postdocs at UU, and more specifically answer the following questions:
- Which factors correlate with the well-being and career perspectives experienced by postdocs?
- What are the main challenges experienced by postdocs as a group?
- Are there significant differences between postdocs on employment and postdocs on stipends regarding wellbeing or career perspectives?
This study is meant to serve as a pilot and to pave the way to a revised version of the survey to be circulated more broadly.
